Right then,

Although the old Mirage Realms website (back when we were only a game) was lost, I managed to find an old psd with it half build along side some page backups (the vista fixes page, for instance). Using this I have managed to rebuild a near identical replica of our old site, fixing all of the dodgey image problems it was plagued with and also re-implementing the news feeder directly from these forums.

The website as it stands at the moment is a skeleton of what it hopefully soon shall be. I'm looking to get guides of all shapes and sizes, screenshots, faqs, new starter guides you name it all up on the website to make us more appealing to newbie game developers. If any of you feel there are certain guides that we really must have then please let us know in reply to this news post.

Happy new year by the way everyone! Look forward to lots of updates in the near future to both the website and the source. If you happen to be reading this in the forums and wondering what I'm talking about, check the main website!

Cheers!
Your Mirage Realms Developers

Horrya! Sexi elves are back!!! ^_^
So, about the guides for nooby game developers, the most challenging part of coming to a place liek this for the first time is VB6, its kinda of difficult for noobs (and me) to get the hang off, maybe there could be a beginners guide to it that just explains how it works and why things do what they do when you write code and such! :)

thats beyond the scope of this (or any gamecentric or game themed) site. If its related to the game like here its ok to have a section for it but no gaming website needs or should even want to try to teach the basics of a program that really has nothin to do with the game itself. Theres far better ways to learn to use a program or learn a new programming language than askin around a website and hopin for answers

Im sure theres nearly endless pages out there to teach the basics and layout of vb6 and I know for a fact Ive found any info Ive needed in less than 10min with one simple search everytime: Google -> "vb6" "what I need here" -> search With the quotes and in that order. Hasnt failed me yet

If you need VB6 help try WikiBooks it's owned by the people who run Wikipedia, it has a great VB6 book with lots of pages about all sorts of features of VB6 I look through it every now and then to make myself familiar with things I don't understand.
